    THE MAN WHO STOPPED TIME

    2013-14, Eadweard Muybridge, The Man who Stopped Time (video/performance) screened and presented at San Francisco Art Institute, California Historical Society, Palo Alto Art Center, San Francisco Cinematheque, Other Cinema and Los Altos History Museum. (16 min TRT)

    Ben Wood in the apparel of none other than Eadweard Muybridge, affords us a charmed glimpse into the halcyon days of the magic lantern. 


    In seven chapters Muybridge recounts the tale of his tragic accident, his animal locomotion experiments, his beloved Flora, zoopraxography and more.


    "Eadweard Muybridge: The Man Who Stopped Time", is a 15 minute video-essay presenting the story of the pioneer British photographer, who in 1870s San Francisco was the first person to capture the horse in motion photography Leland Stanford's horse Occident.
