    Living Ohlone, Coit Tower

    July 4th, 5th 2004, July 3, 4 2008, Coit Tower, July 4th events; Organized and created projection “Living Ohlone” with support from San Francisco Recreation and Parks honoring the Ohlone community on the occasion of July 4th, a day when we traditionally think about the country’s origins. (20 min. loop)

    On July 3rd and 4th, 2004 a projection took place on the face of San Francisco's Coit Tower. This projection was a celebration of the rich indigenous heritage of the San Francisco Bay Area.


    The projection featured images relating to Ohlone culture and life, illuminating a unique historical perspective of the Bay Area and honoring the original people of this land.


    The project was supported by San Francisco and Parks, the Telegraph Hill Dwellers and the San Francisco Art Institute.
